Certified Medical Assistant/COMT

We are a premier oculofacial plastic surgery practice, seeking a Certified Medical Assistant or Ophthalmic Medical Technician (COMT) to join our skilled and compassionate team. Our practice specializes in eyelid, orbital, lacrimal, and facial aesthetic procedures—combining medical precision with an artistic touch. This role is ideal for a MA-C or COMT who enjoys working in a detail-oriented, patient-focused, and aesthetically driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the oculoplastic surgeon in clinical evaluations and minor in-office procedures
- Take thorough patient histories, perform visual acuity testing, pupillary exams, and imaging as needed
- Conduct pre-op assessments and assist with post-op care
- Educate patients on procedures, treatments, and post-operative instructions
- Maintain exam rooms, instruments, and surgical equipment in pristine condition
- Manage clinical photography and documentation for both medical and cosmetic patients
Qualifications:
- Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technician (COMT) through JCAHPO
- (or)
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Minimum 1–2 years of ophthalmology or oculoplastic experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, professional demeanor
- Comfort working with both medical and cosmetic patients
- Experience with EHR systems and clinical photography a plus
