Seattle Facelift

Facelift surgery is a well-known procedure among men and women experiencing signs of facial aging, such as sagging skin, excess fat deposits, folds, creases, and wrinkles. When consulting Kristin J. Tarbet, M.D., F.A.C.S. of Bellevue for a facelift ("rhytidectomy"), you can anticipate an individualized procedure and quality care from her friendly, compassionate, and helpful staff. In practice for more than 15 years, Dr. Tarbet and her staff have helped numerous Bellevue, Kirkland and Seattle facelift patients achieve revitalizing results.

Seattle Facelift Surgery Information

Using her eye for detail, finesse, and her judgment for the best technique to perform, our Seattle facelift plastic surgeon Dr. Tarbet will design a procedure geared towards your specific needs and facial structure. Typically, standard facelift surgery entails inconspicuous incisions along the hairline, which are covered by hair. If neck work is required, an incision is made under the chin, which is also concealable.

For patients with minimal facial aging, other facelift techniques with smaller incisions are available, such as the mini facelift or a QuickLift ™ procedure. The mini facelift improves the appearance of facial aging in the mid-face, cheek, and lower eyelid areas, which creates a more rejuvenated, refreshed look.

The QuickLift procedure is an evolved version to the S-lift technique and is a less-invasive approach than the traditional facelift procedure. This surgical technique requires smaller incisions, less time spent in surgery, and a faster recovery; standard facelifts typically require three to four weeks of downtime, while the QuickLift procedure entails about one to two weeks of recovery time. A good candidate for the Quicklift is someone who has loose skin in the lower region of the face, jawline, and upper neck.

Seattle facelift surgeon Dr. Tarbet will further discuss your options during an initial consultation. At this time, you may request to view before and after facelift photos of her patient results. Dr. Tarbet may also recommend the addition of complementary procedures, such as eyelid surgery ("blepharoplasty"), the eyebrow lift ("forehead lift"), or Botox ® injections; however, this may require longer time spent in surgery or separate operations to be performed.
